Design Details: This collection is based around a fantastic fabric find: a vintage pink rayon upholstery tweed shot through with gold! I actually found it a temple bazaar in Valley Stream Long Island. The fabric dates back to the 1950's and has a beautiful shine to the yard, giving it a rich luster. I can imagine the home it was used in with trim little sofas and chairs, a flagstone fireplace, and a Cadillac convertible in the driveway! The dressmaker details are right out of the 1960’s with touches that are subtle, yet make a sophisticated statement. Suede Moroccan "tiles" are appliqued to the ground fabric, which shows between the "tiles" becoming the "grout". These pillows also have a signature enameled metal charm zipper pull with our logo on it in the shape of the tiles appliqued to the surface. Generously sized at 18" x 9", 65% silk, 35% wool, suede applique, feather and down insert. |
